Blustery conditions hampered anglers in last Sundays dinghy open hosted by Western Wight angling club with less than half of the 54 entrees registering fish.

Kurston Dyer returned the heaviest Flounder bag tipping the scales at 3lb 7oz giving him the £150 first prize sponsored by
Island wide Marine.  Dyer also picked up £27 for the second best fish at 2lb 6-1/2oz. Danny Siegal received £54 for the best specimen Flounder of 2lb 9oz and the drawn pairs winners were Steve Cooke and Anton James with a combined weight of 5lb 11oz. Steve Cooke also took second overall with 3lb 4oz and Simon O’Brian won third with 3lb.  All but six competitors fished the Medina where fish were weighed and returned alive
